In support to the legitimate demands of Iraqi peaceful protests, and because of the country exceptional circumstances, the presidency of the University of Warith Alanbiyaa initiated a constitutional legal reform paper through which it can offer reform proposals for change that would draw a roadmap for peaceful demonstrators.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University, Dr. Adnan Al-Shroufi, said:
"Under the guidance of university chancellor, Prof. Taleb Hassan Musa, a committee is formed from the law faculty staff in order to conduct a reform study and to provide a reform paper containing a number of proposals and solutions to some of the laws in the Iraqi Constitution and the election law. The committee was held a number of meetings with the university chancellor in order to formulate this reform paper. We ask Allah to help us to provide the best possible service to our country."
