this course description provides a necessary summary of the most important characteristics of medical physics and the learning outcomes expected of the student to achieved.
Medical physics is the application of physics in medicine. All areas of physics can be applied to medicine (Mechanics, electro magnetism, thermodynamics, nuclear physics, optics, fluids, ...) Medical physics is mainly involved in the development of new instrumentation and technology used for diagnosis and also for treatment.

At the end of the course in Physiology and
medical physics the student should be able to:
•Demonstrate adequate knowledge of the
biophysical basis of medical practice;
• Demonstrate sound knowledge in medical
physics with a view to possible scientific
investigations in medical physics sciences;
• Apply the science of medical physics in
everyday life.
