The College of Engineering at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (peace be upon him) organized two scientific field trips for its students as part of its efforts to strengthen practical education and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications.
The first field trip involved students from the Biomedical Engineering Department, who visited the University of Technology to explore advanced laboratories and modern equipment, enhancing their applied scientific skills. The second trip included fourth-year students from the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Department, who visited the Al-Musayyib Thermal Power Station as part of the Power Stations course, where they gained hands-on insight into the operation of boilers and turbines in thermal power plants, contributing to the development of their practical engineering expertise.
These educational activities align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting applied engineering learning, Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) through exposure to industrial technologies and infrastructure systems, and Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) by enhancing students’ understanding of power generation systems.
Through such initiatives, Warith Al-Anbiyaa University reaffirms its commitment to preparing qualified engineering graduates capable of meeting labor market needs and contributing effectively to sustainable development.
