Admission Guidelines

Morning Studies:

The student must submit the following documents to the institution to which they are nominated:

Original preparatory school certificate, authenticated by the General Directorate of Education or a certified transcript, along with a written undertaking to register at the college.
Three colored copies of the Iraqi Civil Status ID or Unified National Card for each of the student, mother, and father.
Six recent photographs.
Medical examination form.
The student must have been born in 1994 or later.
The student must have been born in 1990 and have achieved a grade of 90% or higher. The student must be available for full-time study and is not permitted to combine employment and studies simultaneously. This applies to all employees of state institutions. Students may not pursue both studies simultaneously; if this is proven, their admission will be revoked.
Application Guidelines for the Channels
Families of Martyrs
The eligible categories are: families of martyrs of the Ba'ath regime's crimes, families of martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and families of martyrs of military operations and errors. Additionally, wounded individuals covered under Law No. 57 of 2015 are eligible. Only
The tuition fees for the categories in this channel are 50% of the tuition fees for each department.
5 points are added to the average of the student applying to the medical group (General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy).
8 points are added to the average of the student applying to other specializations.
Fill out the electronic form for the families of martyrs and submit it to the Martyrs Foundation for approval. Check the student's account daily to ensure the activation of the Martyrs' Families channel and confirm registration at the private college/university through the Martyrs' Families channel.

Political Prisoners
Eligible categories include: political prisoners, detainees, and those held in Rafha who were imprisoned, arrested, or detained under the former Ba'ath regime.
Students will be accepted with a minimum average of 3 points below the published minimum average in the guidance manual. Admission is limited to evening studies only.
Students eligible for this channel will be determined exclusively by the Prisoners Foundation.
Students must be born in 1994. Downward

Talented individuals in the field of media and its skills, with 10 years of service in media institutions recognized by the relevant authorities, are eligible to apply through the Media Professionals Channel. This applies exclusively to graduates of all vocational study branches, teacher training institutes, and fine arts institutes.

Students graduating from Islamic studies, schools affiliated with the Shiite and Sunni endowments, and tourism and hospitality institutes, graduating in the academic year (2019-2020) and earlier, are not eligible to apply through this channel.

The student's service must be certified by the Journalists Syndicate, the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission, or the Iraqi Media Network, after being verified by the media institutions where they work.

Students must apply through this channel using its electronic form after activation by the Journalists Syndicate.
Students must check their accounts daily to ensure the channel is activated.
Student admission is in accordance with Law No. 15 of 2016.

Eligible students include members of the armed forces, internal security forces, the National Intelligence Service, the National Security Service, the Popular Mobilization Forces, the Counter-Terrorism Service, and other security agencies.
Only those enrolled in evening studies are eligible. Graduates of the Police Commissioners Institute are eligible for evening studies only, as are graduates of humanities colleges.

Accepted students must adhere to the specified attendance requirements.
Students admitted through this channel are not permitted to attend morning classes.
The Ministry of Interior requires the approval of the Senior Undersecretary, the approval of the applicant's affiliated department, and the approval of higher authorities for other categories.
Graduates of vocational secondary schools eligible for this channel are eligible to apply for evening studies.
Graduates holding a technical diploma are eligible to apply for evening studies.
Student admission is through the online portal of the Department of Private Higher Education.
The top 30% of institute graduates (diploma holders) are eligible.
Graduates of institutes with corresponding specializations are also eligible.
The top 30% of students in each specialization are calculated separately, rounding up any fractional number in the student's favor.
Students are not permitted to combine studies with employment during morning studies.
Students covered by social welfare are eligible.
Eligible categories include the student or a parent or guardian registered with the relevant authority. Social Protection
Fees are 50% of the tuition fees for each department for evening studies only.

Students who have memorized the Holy Quran
This includes all graduates of secondary school.
Students admitted through the program for memorizing the entire Quran are exempt from tuition fees.
Students are subject to an examination by an international panel of experts appointed by the Ministry of Higher Education. This examination is repeated annually at the beginning of each academic year to ensure continued memorization of the Holy Quran. Failure to pass this examination will result in the cancellation of the tuition fee exemption.
