The final examinations for the second semester commenced under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanimi, in a well-organized atmosphere and with a high level of efficiency, following the completion of all necessary preparations.
The Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Al-Ghanimi, inspected the progress of the final examinations for the second semester of the Information Technology Department (2025–2026).
During the visit, he reviewed the organizational atmosphere and the logistical services provided, emphasizing the importance of ensuring all means that guarantee students’ comfort and the smooth conduct of examinations inside the examination halls.

The President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hiyawi, accompanied by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, inaugurated the “First Warith Exhibition for Creativity and Innovation”, organized by the College of Computer Science and Information Technology in cooperation with the College of Dentistry, the College of Pharmacy, and the Technical College.
The exhibition featured a variety of innovative projects and software developed by students from the participating colleges. These projects received great admiration from attendees for their practical skills and modern technological solutions, reflecting the students’ spirit of creativity and excellence, and contributing to strengthening a university environment that supports innovation.
The representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, visited the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa and reviewed its academic progress and plans for developing education.
During the visit, he emphasized the importance of building human capacity and preparing scientific leaders who contribute to serving the country. In turn, the University Presidency reaffirmed its commitment to the vision of the Religious Authority in promoting knowledge and developing society.
A distinguished participation by first-year students from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa in the “Data Hackathon” held at Al-Farabi University.
The event featured 33 teams from 12 public and private universities, where the students demonstrated an active presence by presenting innovative solutions in data analysis within a highly competitive environment.
Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Al-Ghanimi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, participated in the activities of the University of Al-Hillah Award for Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Informatics.
The event was held at the University of Al-Hillah, in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahd, along with a number of university presidents, college deans, and academic researchers, to honor distinguished individuals in the fields of artificial intelligence and informatics.
Students of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, across its departments (Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology), took their midterm examinations for the second semester of the academic year 2025–2026
The exams were conducted smoothly in a suitable atmosphere that provided an appropriate examination environment for the students.
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) concluded the joint examination for students of the Information Technology Department, in cooperation with the University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology / Information Technology Department.
The examinations concluded after proceeding with high smoothness and excellent organization, reflecting the level of coordination and cooperation between public and private universities.
The Dean of the College also followed up on the examination process in the field, emphasizing the importance of this experience in enhancing academic rigor and unifying academic standards.
This step represents a continuation of efforts to develop the educational process and elevate the academic level of students.
Under the patronage of the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine and in cooperation with the Arab Federation for Digital Empowerment, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) launched advanced programs in the field of digital empowerment, within a vision aimed at developing students’ technical skills.
The College also received a visit from Dr. Khalil Al-Tayyar, Advisor for External Relations and Public Affairs at the Holy Al-Husseiniya Shrine, to discuss mechanisms for activating the terms of the joint agreement. He was welcomed by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanimi, in a step that contributes to enhancing opportunities for practical training and keeping pace with the latest technological developments.
This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to preparing its students with high competence and empowering them to compete in the labor market through modern training programs and advanced practical experience.

Computer Lab – Practical sessions for Information Technology students.
As part of efforts to enhance academic cooperation between public and private universities, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him) organized a joint examination for students of the Information Technology Department, in cooperation with the University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology / Information Technology Department.
The Dean of the College also conducted a field follow-up of the examination process, reviewing the exam environment and the level of organization, and emphasizing the importance of providing a suitable atmosphere that ensures students can perform their exams smoothly and calmly.
The examination was conducted using unified questions prepared by a joint scientific committee, contributing to fairness in evaluation and standardizing the academic level among students.
This step comes in line with the direction of educational institutions toward enhancing the quality of education and integrating academic expertise, which positively reflects on the outcomes of the educational process.
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a training course entitled “Building and Managing Work Teams” for students of the Information Technology (IT) Department. The course was delivered by Dr. Mahdi Al-Saadi.
The course included interactive topics that focused on teamwork skills, methods of building successful teams, and enhancing effective communication among team members, in addition to developing leadership skills and a sense of responsibility.
As part of its applied scientific activities, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a visit for students of the Artificial Intelligence Department to the Medical Competencies Center.
The visit included an introduction to 3D printing technology, which is considered one of the important modern technologies in the medical field. Students learned about its working mechanism and its applications in designing medical models and devices.
A distinguished scientific experience that reflects the College’s commitment to developing its students’ capabilities.
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a training course entitled “Communication Skills”, aimed at developing students’ effective communication abilities and enhancing their skills in interaction and teamwork.
The course was delivered by Dr. Mahdi Al-Saadi, and included a variety of interactive activities and exercises that contributed to improving dialogue skills, building self-confidence, and fostering a spirit of cooperation among students.
The course witnessed active participation from students, reflecting their eagerness to acquire personal skills alongside academic achievement, which contributes to preparing them for the labor market.
The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology honored the top three students in the College’s departments for the first semester, in recognition of their academic excellence and outstanding performance.

As part of supporting academic collaboration, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at University of Karbala hosted the defense of the Master’s thesis entitled:
Generating Facial Expressions Images Using Generative Adversarial Networks
The thesis was submitted by the researcher Sabreen Ghanem Khalifa on the morning of Sunday, 15/2/2026.
The defense committee included Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanmi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, as a member of the committee, reflecting the College’s commitment to actively contributing to the support of scientific research.
The thesis demonstrated an advanced academic level in the field of artificial intelligence and generative networks, reinforcing modern research directions and keeping pace with technological development.
Within the framework of strengthening academic cooperation and exchanging scientific expertise, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanimi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), signed a scientific twinning agreement with Professor Dr. Salah Awwad Salman Al-Issawi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Anbar.
The agreement includes adopting the Bologna Process and organizing evaluative examinations, in addition to holding joint workshops and seminars and developing collaborative research projects between the two parties. The agreement also aims to develop academic curricula and exchange technical expertise in order to advance the level of academic education and enhance scientific research between the two universities.
The Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Waqqad Al-Mousawi, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanimi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, reviewed the progress of the final examinations for first-year students.
Students of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, in its departments of Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology, completed their final exams in a well-organized atmosphere marked by high efficiency and smooth procedures.

Based on the principle of scientific and technical cooperation between academic institutions and the labor market, and in line with the College’s vision, the College hosted #Asiacell Telecommunications to hold a scientific workshop entitled:
“Digital Transformation and Labor Market Requirements in the Telecommunications Sector.”
The workshop was delivered by Dr. Eng. Sajad Mohammed Al-Karraawi, Technical Director of Asiacell Company in the Middle Euphrates, as a guest of the College. He addressed the current reality of the labor market and its requirements in light of digital transformation, ways to develop students’ practical and technical skills, and introduced available employment and recruitment opportunities. He also presented practical training opportunities that contribute to refining students’ experience and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Deanship of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology presented certificates of appreciation and thanks to the lecturer and the participating organization, in recognition of their efforts and their effective role in supporting and empowering students professionally, and in strengthening bridges of cooperation between the academic institution and the private sector.

The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanami, received a high-level delegation from the College of Engineering – Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hadi Hussein, Dean of the College, accompanied by a group of faculty members.
The visit came to extend congratulations to Dr. Al-Ghanami on the occasion of assuming the position of Dean of the College, wishing him continued success and prosperity in his academic and administrative career.
