In a step reflecting the commitment of both universities to enhance academic collaboration, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nawfal, Dean of the College of Sciences, and her counterpart, Assistant Professor Dr. Muwafaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala, signed a scientific twinning agreement between the Information Technology Departments. The agreement includes the Bologna Process, evaluative examinations, organization of joint workshops and seminars, and collaborative research projects. The aim of the agreement is to develop joint curricula and exchange technical expertise, contributing to the improvement of the quality of education.
2024/10/19Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nofal, Dean of the College of Science, presented the second training workshop for the staff of the College of Administration and Economics. This workshop is part of a series of training sessions organised by the Continous Education Centre at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) for the teaching staff responsible for implementing the “Bologna Process” mechanisms in the relevant colleges and departments for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025. In a step reflecting the commitment of both universities to enhancing academic collaboration, Assistant Professor Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nofal, Dean of the College of Science and Head of the Department of Medical Physics, along with her accompanying delegation, discussed a scientific twinning agreement with Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Abdul Redha Al-Hashimi, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, and Dr. Ali Hamad Al-Kalkawi, Head of the Department of Medical Physics at the University of Karbala.The agreement includes: The Bologna Process, evaluative examinations, the organization of joint workshops and seminars, as well as collaborative research projects. Additionally, the agreement aims to promote the development of joint curricula and the exchange of technical expertise, thereby contributing to the enhancement of educational standards.
In accordance with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Head of the Information Technology Department and Director of the Continuing Education Center at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Mohammed Al-Ghanmi, the university’s representative to the ministry for managing the Bologna Process, conducted a training workshop for the teaching staff involved in implementing the “Bologna Process” mechanisms in the colleges and departments included in its application for the upcoming academic year 2024-2025.
Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Science, Dr. Shaimaa Hussein Nofal, and the Head of the Information Technology Department, Dr. Haider Mohammed Ali Al-Ghanmi, the Information Technology Department organized a workshop titled “Blended Learning.” The workshop was presented by faculty member Dr. Ahmed Yahya Awad to the faculty members of the College of Science. The workshop covered several key topics:
The first topic defined blended learning as a term used to describe education that combines e-learning and traditional teaching methods to create a new methodology in education called blended learning.
The second topic explained that there are several types of blended learning offered in Iraqi universities, including face-to-face learning, rotation, flexible learning, and other forms of education.
The third topic highlighted the importance of blended learning, noting that it is more efficient as it improves the effectiveness of the entire educational process and helps make the educational process easier.

The students of the department have submitted various practical experiments in order to integrate theoretical and practical aspects, as directed by the respected college dean and her scientific vision for enhancing scientific development
First-year students of College of Science are taking mid-term exams with facilitated procedures, under the guidance of the esteemed college dean, Dr Shimaa Hussein Noufal During the exams, the dean met with the students and listened to their opinions regarding the exam environment, suitable conditions such as comfortable seating, lighting, and the distribution of exam questions evenly across the course material All obstacles and difficulties faced by the students during the exam period were addressed

2024/05/28The Information Technology Department, in collaboration with the Warith Centre for Entrepreneurship, organised a workshop for first-year students to help them hone and embed their technology and programming skills.
"This course aims to introduce students to the most important technological and programming pathways that students must know to develop their programming and technical skills," stated Dr. Haider Al-Ghanmi, Head of the Department.
"These workshops will continue weekly to enhance students' skills according to the job market," Al-Ghanimi continued.
In an effort to enhance students' skills during the spring break, the College of Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (peace be upon him), specifically the Information Technology Department, organized a practical training course on network installation and programming for first-year students.
The course was delivered by programmer Abbas Nouri from the University's Electronic Computing Center.
This initiative from the college's administration aims to train students and enhance their practical skills, preparing them for the job market. Mr. University President, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, emphasized the importance of students seizing this valuable opportunity to develop and enhance their skills during his meeting with them.
First-Stage student at the College of Science, specifically in the Department of Information Technology and the Department of Medical Physics, are taking their end of semester exams for the first half of the academic year 2023-2024. The Dean of the College, Dr. Shimaa Hussein Nawfal, inspected the examination halls. During his rounds, he assessed the examination atmosphere and the level of services provided to the students while they were taking their exams.
2024/03/20The College of Science at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) held a workshop entitled “Radiation Quantities and Units” presented by Dr. Ahmed Musa to medical physics students.Where the workshop was aiming to explain the measurement of radiation, how to control it, how to protect against it and how to use it in industrial and medical applications.
2024/02/29The College of Science / Department of Information Technology organized a training workshop for students entitled ‘Cybersecurity Fundamentals’, presented by trainer Hussam Mohammed Al-Owaidi. The workshop covered topics related to information security and cybersecurity, including phishing and fraud detection, types of malicious ,harmful software, and most recent methods to secure personal information.

2024/02/03Under the guidance of the department’s professors, first-year students in the Department of Information Technology (IT) at the College of Science, University of Warith AL-Anbiyaa, took a scientific toor to the university’s electronic computer center. During this toor, they gained insights into the platform and applications offered by the university, as well as the networks and infrastructure. Additionally, they explored the Software Systems that are in service.The primary objective of this visit was to show the students this specific area of study, which holds immense importance for the future. This field plays a critical role in technology management and institutional security against hacking and cyberattacks. By equipping these students with essential knowledge, the university aims to prepare them for their future careers in this dynamic field .
