Registration Instructions

Submission Requirements

Morning Studies:
The student must submit the following documents to the institution they are applying to:

  • Original preparatory school certificate, certified by the General Directorate of Education, or a grade confirmation letter, along with a written pledge for college registration
  • 3 colored copies of the Iraqi civil ID or unified national card for the student, mother, and father
  • 6 recent photographs
  • Medical examination form
  • Submission is exclusively for graduates of the current and previous academic year (2023–2024)
  • The student must be born in 1994 or later
  • Students born in 1990 must have achieved a grade average of 90% or above
  • The student must dedicate themselves fully to their studies; combining employment with study (at the same time) is not allowed for employees of state institutions
  • Enrollment in two different programs simultaneously is not permitted; if discovered, the student's admission will be canceled

Admission Channel Requirements

Martyrs' Families Channel
Eligible categories include: families of martyrs of the crimes of the defunct Ba'ath regime, families of martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces, families of martyrs of military operations and military errors, in addition to the wounded under Law No. 57 of 2015 (the wounded person only).

  • Tuition fees for this category are 50% of the regular tuition fees for each department
  • 5 points are added to the average of students applying to medical fields (General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy)
  • The electronic form for martyrs' families must be completed and confirmed through the Martyrs Foundation
  • Students must check their account daily to confirm activation of the martyrs' families channel and confirm registration at the private college/university under this channel

Free Scholarship for Medical Fields (General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy)

  • Applications for the scholarship are submitted exclusively through an electronic portal launched by the Private University Education Department
  • Student data is uploaded to the system based on Ministry of Education records
  • Students use their exam number along with a password to retrieve their data within the system
  • The student must be a graduate of the scientific or biological branch of preparatory school for the academic year 2023/2024 exclusively
  • Students with an average of 96% or above may apply to ten (10) different choices; students with an average of 93% may apply to six (6) different choices
  • Students are subject to electronic ranking based on grade averages
  • Documents related to privileges granted to students by private universities and colleges competing for the free scholarship are reviewed before electronic registration
  • Once a student accepted into the free scholarship completes registration, their name is withheld from other admission channels within the private education portal

Social Welfare Channel
Eligible categories include the student or one of their parents (father or mother) who is registered in the records of the Social Protection Authority.

  • Tuition fees are 50% of the regular tuition fees for each department, for evening studies only

Quran Memorization Channel

  • Includes all preparatory school graduates
  • A student accepted under this channel is fully exempted from tuition fees
  • The student undergoes testing by a specialized international examination committee issued by the Ministry of Higher Education; the test is repeated annually at the start of each academic year to confirm continued memorization of the Quran. Otherwise, the tuition exemption privilege is revoked.
