
Admission Regulations
Morning Study:
Applicants must submit the following documents to the institution they are applying to:
1. The original high school certificate authenticated by the General Directorate of Education or a grade confirmation letter, along with a written pledge to the college registration.
2. Three colored copies of the Iraqi Civil Status ID or the Unified National Card for the student, mother, and father.
3. Six recent photos.
4. Medical examination form.
5. The applicant must be born in 1994 or later.
6. Applicants born in 1990 with a grade average of 90% or above are also eligible.
7. Applicants must dedicate themselves to studying and cannot combine work with study (at the same time) for all state institution employees.
8. Combining two studies is prohibited, and acceptance will be canceled if this is proven.
Evening Study:
1. The original high school certificate authenticated by the General Directorate of Education or a grade confirmation letter, along with a written pledge to the college registration.
2. Three colored copies of the Iraqi Civil Status ID or the Unified National Card for the student, mother, and father.
3. Six recent photos.
4. Medical examination form.
5. Combining two studies is prohibited, and acceptance will be canceled if this is proven.
6. Students enrolled in morning studies may transfer to equivalent evening programs upon the decision of the college council.
7. The same academic calendar as the morning study applies.
Regulations for Specific Admission Channels:
Families of Martyrs:
Includes the families of martyrs of the Baath regime's crimes, Popular Mobilization Forces martyrs, martyrs of military operations, and victims of military errors, as well as injured individuals under Law (57 of 2015) for injuries only.
Tuition fees for these categories are 50% of the regular fees for each department.
Five points are added to the grades of applicants to medical programs (medicine, dentistry, pharmacy).
Eight points are added to the grades of applicants to other fields.
Applicants must fill out the electronic form for martyrs and visit the Martyrs Foundation for authentication.
Applicants must check their account daily to ensure activation of the Martyrs channel and registration in the private college/university under this channel.
Political Prisoners:
Includes prisoners, detainees, and Rafha detainees who were imprisoned or detained under the Baath regime.
Applicants are accepted with a three-point difference from the minimum grades specified in the admission guide, exclusively for evening studies.
Eligible applicants are determined solely by the Political Prisoners Foundation.
Applicants must check their account daily to ensure activation of the Political Prisoners channel.
Media Professionals:
Applicants must be born in 1994 or earlier.
Talented individuals in media with ten years of service in recognized media institutions are eligible, provided they are graduates of professional education branches, teacher training institutes, or fine arts institutes.
Graduates of Islamic studies or schools affiliated with the Sunni or Shia endowments and tourism and hospitality institutes from 2019-2020 are not eligible.
Approval from the Journalists Syndicate, Iraqi Media and Communications Authority, or Iraqi Media Network is required.
Applicants must apply through the electronic form for media professionals after activation by the Journalists Syndicate.
Applicants must check their account daily to ensure activation of this channel.
Admission Under Law No. 15 of 2016:
Includes armed forces personnel, internal security forces, National Intelligence Service, National Security Service, Popular Mobilization Forces, Counter-Terrorism Service, and other security agencies.
Acceptance is limited to evening studies only.
Police Academy graduates are admitted exclusively to humanities colleges for evening studies.
Accepted students must adhere to the attendance requirements.
Students under this channel cannot be hosted in morning studies.
Approval from the Ministry of Interior for police personnel and higher authorities for other categories is required.
Top 30% Graduates of Institutes:
Applies to graduates of institutes with corresponding specializations.
The top 30% are calculated separately for each specialization, with fractional numbers rounded up for the student.
Students cannot combine study and work in morning programs.
Free Medical Scholarships (Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy):
Applications are submitted exclusively through an electronic portal launched by the Private University Education Directorate.
Student data is uploaded based on Ministry of Education records.
Applicants must use their examination number and password to access their data.
Applicants must be graduates of the scientific/biological branch for the academic year 2023/2024 only.
Students with an average of 96% or above can apply for ten options, and those with 93% can apply for six options.
Selection is based on electronic competition according to grades.
Students Covered by Social Welfare:
Includes students or their parents (father or mother) who are registered with the Social Protection Authority.
Tuition fees for these students are 50% of the regular fees for each department, only for evening studies.
Memorizers of the Holy Quran:
Applies to all high school graduates.
Students accepted under this channel who have memorized the entire Quran are exempt from tuition fees.
Students are tested annually by a specialized intern
ational arbitration committee from the Ministry of Higher Education. Failure to meet the requirements results in the cancellation of the exemption.
