The College of Islamic Sciences holds a scientific workshop on the ruling on drugs between Sharia and law

The College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific workshop entitled "Drugs between Permissibility and Prohibition - A Comparative Study between Sharia and Law", presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Ahmed Nasser, on February 18, 2025, in the presence of a group of professors in the college hall.

The workshop addressed the legal and Sharia frameworks related to drugs, clarifying the differences between the religious position and legal legislation, in addition to discussing the social and Sharia effects of drug use and trafficking.

The workshop witnessed fruitful interaction between the lecturer and the attendees, as opinions were exchanged and questions were raised about the jurisprudential and legal aspects of the topic, which contributed to deepening understanding of this important issue.

The college stressed the importance of such events in spreading awareness and enhancing academic understanding of contemporary issues with Sharia and legal dimensions.
