Admission Regulations

Morning Study:

The student must submit the following documents to the relevant authority:

  • Original preparatory school certificate, certified by the Directorate-General of Education, or a grade verification letter, along with a written pledge to the college registration office.
  • 3 colored copies of the Iraqi Civil Status ID or Unified National ID for the student, mother, and father.
  • 6 recent passport-sized photos.
  • Medical examination form.
  • The student must be born in 1994 or later.
  • Students born in 1990 are eligible.
  • The student must be dedicated to full-time study and cannot combine work with study (simultaneously) for all public sector employees.
  • It is not allowed to combine both studies, and if proven, the student's acceptance will be canceled.

Evening Study:

  • Original preparatory school certificate, certified by the Directorate-General of Education, or a grade verification letter, along with a written pledge to the college registration office.
  • 3 colored copies of the Iraqi Civil Status ID or Unified National ID for the student, mother, and father.
  • 6 recent passport-sized photos.
  • Medical examination form.
  • It is not allowed to combine both studies, and if proven, the student's acceptance will be canceled.
  • Students enrolled in morning study are eligible to transfer to a corresponding evening program. The college council has the authority to approve such transfers.
  • The same academic calendar as the morning study will be adopted for evening study.

Admission Regulations for Specific Channels

Martyrs’ Families:

  • Eligible categories include: (families of martyrs of the crimes of the dissolved Ba'ath regime, families of Popular Mobilization Forces martyrs, families of martyrs of military operations and military errors), as well as injured individuals under Law (57 of 2015), specifically the injured individual.
  • Tuition fees for these categories are 50% of the tuition for each department.
  • An additional 5 points are added to the GPA of students applying to medical groups (general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy).
  • An additional 8 points are added to the GPA of students applying to other specialties.
  • The electronic form for martyrs’ families must be filled out and approved by the Martyrs' Foundation.
  • The student's account should be monitored daily to ensure activation of the martyrs' channel and confirmation of registration in the college/private university under this channel.

Political Prisoners:

  • Eligible categories include: (prisoners, political detainees, and individuals detained in the Rafha camps under the Ba'ath regime).
  • Students can be admitted with a GPA 3 points below the minimum announced in the guide, and acceptance is strictly for evening study.
  • The eligibility of students is determined solely by the Prisoners' Foundation.
  • The student's account must be monitored daily to ensure activation of the political prisoners' channel.

Journalists:

  • The student must be born in 1994 or later.
  • Talented individuals in media and its skills who have 10 years of service in recognized media institutions (as approved by the relevant authorities) are eligible, exclusively from graduates of all vocational study branches, teacher institutes, and fine arts institutes.
  • Graduates of Islamic studies and schools under the Shiite and Sunni Endowments, as well as graduates from tourism and hotel management institutes for the academic year 2019-2020 or earlier, are not eligible.
  • The student's service must be certified by the Journalists' Syndicate or the Iraqi Media and Communications Commission or the Iraqi Media Network.
  • Students must apply through the electronic form after it is activated by the Journalists' Syndicate.
  • Students should monitor their accounts daily to confirm activation of this channel.

Acceptance of Students Under Law 15 of 2016:

  • Eligible categories include: (military personnel, internal security forces, National Intelligence Service, National Security Service, Popular Mobilization Forces, Counter-Terrorism Service, and other security agencies).
  • Acceptance is limited to evening study only.
  • Graduates from the Police Officers’ Institute are eligible for evening study only in the humanities colleges.
  • Students must adhere to the designated attendance requirements.
  • It is prohibited for students accepted under this channel to transfer to the morning study.
  • The Ministry of the Interior must approve the waiver of any objections from the student's affiliated department to allow for evening study.
  • Graduates from vocational secondary schools and those with a technical diploma are eligible for evening study.

Top 30% of Graduates from Institutes (Diploma Holders):

  • Acceptance is limited to graduates from institutes with corresponding specializations.
  • The top 30% of students for each department will be considered separately, with fractional numbers rounded up in favor of the student.
  • Students are not allowed to combine work with morning study.

Free Scholarship for the Medical Group (General Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy):

  • Application for the scholarship must be done exclusively through an electronic interface launched via the private university education portal.
  • Students' data is uploaded into the system based on Ministry of Education data.
  • The student uses their exam number and password to retrieve their data in the system.
  • The student must be a graduate of the scientific or biological branch of preparatory school for the 2023/2024 academic year.
  • Students with a GPA of 96% or higher can apply to 10 different selections; students with a GPA of 93% can apply to 6 different selections.
  • Students will be subjected to an electronic competition based on GPA.
  • Verification of documents related to the scholarships is required before online registration.
  • If a student is accepted into the free scholarship, their name will be removed from other acceptance channels on the private education portal.

Students Eligible for Social Welfare:

  • Eligible categories include the student or one of their parents (father, mother) who are registered in the Social Protection Authority's records.
  • Tuition fees are 50% of the tuition fees for evening study only.

Students Who Memorized the Quran:

  • Applies to all preparatory school graduates.
  • Students accepted through the Quran memorization channel are exempt from tuition fees.
  • The student must pass an exam by an international judging committee authorized by the Ministry of Higher Education, and they must re-take the exam annually at the start of each academic year to verify continued memorization of the Quran; otherwise, the tuition fee exemption will be canceled.
