The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research held discussions with a delegation from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on strengthening cooperation in line with national development priorities and strategic plans.

The meeting reviewed completed and ongoing programmes and projects, while exploring mechanisms to enhance collaboration. The discussions focused on improving the quality of higher education, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, and preparing highly qualified national talent capable of leading academic and research development.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Haider Abd Duhad, reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to expanding cooperation and strengthening institutional coordination with international organisations, particularly UNESCO. He also emphasised the importance of supporting high-quality research initiatives that address emerging scientific and knowledge-based developments and contribute to sustainable development.
