Welcome to Iraq. To ensure your entry and residency are legal and seamless throughout your studies, please follow this guide:
1. Required Documents

Valid Passport: A colored copy of a passport valid for at least two years.

Academic Admission Letter: The official acceptance letter issued by the university.

International Medical Certificate: Proving that the student is free from infectious diseases, certified by the Ministry of Health in your home country and the Iraqi Embassy.

Non-Criminal Record Certificate: (Good Conduct Certificate) officially certified in your home country.
2. Student Visa Process Steps

Step 1: Upon your admission, the university administration coordinates with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to obtain the academic and security approvals.

Step 2: The application is forwarded to the Residency Affairs Directorate (Ministry of Interior) to issue the "Student Entry Visa."

Step 3: Once approved, you must visit the Iraqi Embassy or Consulate in your home country to stamp the visa on your passport before traveling.
3. Residency Procedures Upon Arrival
Students must complete the following procedures within a maximum of 15 days from entering Iraq:

Local Medical Examination: Undergo a mandatory second medical check-up at approved Iraqi Ministry of Health centers.

Issuance of Residency Card: Visit the Residency Affairs Directorate accompanied by a university representative to submit the medical results and obtain your "Annual Residency Card," which is renewed automatically throughout your years of study.
