The College of Law and Political Science at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa hosted a scientific lecture featuring Professor Dr Khaled Choukat from the Republic of Tunisia via an online platform, to discuss the legal framework governing the imposition of international sanctions on states and companies.
During the lecture, Professor Dr Choukat addressed key legal aspects of international economic sanctions, presenting examples of sanctions imposed on several countries and discussing their dimensions and impacts from the perspective of international law.
The lecture forms part of the College of Law’s efforts to expand scientific and legal cooperation with Arab academics and universities and provide opportunities for exchanging expertise and knowledge in specialised legal fields. These efforts support the development of scientific research and enhance legal knowledge among students and researchers.
Such academic activities also align with Sustainable Development Goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting knowledge of international law and its role in regulating relations between states and institutions and strengthening the principles of justice and the rule of law.
