The Continuing Education Center at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, in cooperation and coordination with the National Security Service / Holy Karbala Security Directorate, held an awareness seminar on cyber extortion and extremism on Monday, 26 October 2026, attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The seminar addressed the concept of cyber extortion, its types and methods, and the harm it causes to individuals, as well as ways to protect against and prevent it, and how to report cases through the Ameen application, the Aman platform, or by calling 131.

The seminar also discussed extremism, its causes and its impact on society, along with ways to prevent and address it.

The seminar is part of the awareness activities the university organizes to strengthen security and digital awareness among students and protect them from the risks they may face online.
