The Head of the Department of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering at the College of Engineering/University of Heir al-Anbiya (peace be upon him), Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Hassan Abboud (member and supervisor), and Assistant Professor Dr. Raouf Muhammad Radi (member) participated in the discussion of the master’s thesis that was conducted within the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Karbala. He discussed the thesis of researcher Waseem Kazem Falih entitled (Improving the performance of steam generation in conical cavity receivers using a Fresnel lens)The study aims to increase the efficiency and productivity of the solar steam generation system by using conical cavity receivers, a glass cover, and a Fresnel lens of both linear and dot types..

Due to the distinguished academic capabilities possessed by Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hadi, was chosen as a member to discuss the master’s thesis of one of the graduate students in the College of Engineering/Civil Engineering Department at the Technological University, For its part, the Presidency of the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Technology extended its thanks and appreciation to Dr. Hussein Hadi in appreciation of his efforts and efforts to support the educational process by participating in discussing theses of graduate students.

Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hadi, Assistant Dean of the College of Engineering, was chosen as a member to discuss a master’s thesis for one of the graduate students in the College of Engineering/Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Baghdad. Prof. Dr. Jawad Kazem Thajeel from the College of Engineering, Dhi Qar University, as a memberAnd Prof. Dr. Rasoul Raysan Shaker from the College of Engineering, Dhi Qar University, as supervisor This study deals with an evaluation of the available methods for calculating pile loads using three types of methods based on cone penetration test data, static pile load test data, and numerical analysis using the Plaxis 3D program.Among its results is the proposal of an equation for calculating pile loads that takes into account influencing factors such as the boundaries of the impact area and gives results that are closer to the real measured value.

Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Taleb Hashem participated in the discussion of a master's thesis by a researcher from the University of Karbala tagged (The effect of using different configurations and filling ratios on the thermal properties of a heat pipe) The thesis aimed at building a test platform for heat pipes, experimental investigation into the effect of operating conditions and design parameters on the performance of the proposed heat pipe and conducting an analysis of experimental measurements to obtain parameters that describe the thermal performance of the heat pipe.

Dr. Dheiaa Alfarge, Head of the Department of Oil and Gas Engineering at the College of Engineering, was selected as a member of the committee to discuss a master's thesis for a graduate student at the University of Baghdad. This selection comes in recognition of his extensive experience in the field of oil and gas, which contributes to enhancing the quality of academic debate and supporting specialized scientific research.

Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Taleb Hashem participated in the discussion of a master's thesis for a researcher from the University of Karbala tagged: (Improving solar distillation by analyzing heat transfer and using a Fresnel lens) by researcher Amir Abdul Salam Abd Aoun Hayy The thesis dealt with a technology used to desalinate water and obtain distilled water from salt water using a Fresnel lens to focus rays and phase change materials to store the rays during the day and then return them to the device when there is no solar rays,  This method can use heat and how to benefit from it in this process and reduce the overall cost and improve performance.
