The Department of Biomedical Engineering holds a seminar entitled Ventricular Support Devices
The Biomedical Engineering Department held a seminar entitled (Ventricular assistive devices, ventricular support devices), in which engineer Ayat Abbas Kazem lectured, in the presence of the head of the department, faculty, and engineers. The seminar included learning about the physiology and anatomy of the heart and blood vessels, and linking the medical aspect to the engineering aspect of blood flow through the vessels. Then move on to the types of diseases to which the heart is exposed and the medical devices associated with each disease, including ventricular assist devices specialized in enhancing the function of the left or right ventricle, or both, and contributing to pumping the amount of blood that the body needs.
