Under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and with the supervision of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH), the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), in collaboration with the Iraqi Geotechnical Society and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in Russia, organised the "First Warith International Conference on Engineering Sciences" and the "Fourth International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering."
The conference was attended by Dr. Basim Al-Saeedi, President of Karbala University and representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Dr. Alaa Diaa Al-Deen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain; Dr. Qassim Al-Yasari, President of Karbala Provincial Council; and Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, President of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, along with several academic and scientific figures and researchers from Iraq and abroad.
The opening session featured addresses from notable attendees, including the university president, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, who emphasised the crucial role that academic institutions play in addressing societal challenges through scientific research. In line with this vision, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) has taken the lead by establishing an Industrial Incubators Centre. This centre is dedicated to nurturing engineering and industrial innovations, with a particular focus on supporting and developing students' innovative projects. The centre not only fosters academic excellence but also plays a pivotal role in supporting Iraq's industrial sector, which is vital for economic growth.
The centre facilitates the process by collaborating with specialised faculty members from the College of Engineering, who assess and guide the development of innovative ideas. Once vetted, the centre provides comprehensive support, including resources, technical expertise, and mentorship, to bring these ideas to life. Furthermore, the centre aims to connect successful projects with private investment companies, accelerating their transition into viable industrial products.
By aligning with the SDGs, the University Warith Al-Anbiyaa's incubator initiative is creating a robust ecosystem that supports innovation, drives economic growth, and fosters sustainable development, ensuring a brighter future for the Iraqi economy and its people.
The event was attended by the legal guardian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH), Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, alongside Haj Hassan Rashid Al-Abayji, the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine, the university president, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, as well as religious, scientific, and academic figures from various Iraqi and Arab universities, representatives from the United Nations, and human rights organisations.
The College of Islamic Sciences organised its "Fifth Annual International Conference" under the title "Islam is Life" and the slogan "Human Rights and Contemporary Challenges." The conference aimed to discuss contemporary issues related to human rights from an Islamic perspective and to highlight how to address the challenges these rights face in the modern era.

With the presence of the university president, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, and several distinguished local and international scientific and academic figures, the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, in collaboration with the Iraqi Association of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Diseases/Middle Euphrates Branch and the British Society of Cardiothoracic Surgery, organised the "First Warith International Conference on Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery."
The conference brought together a distinguished group of doctors and specialists in cardiovascular and thoracic medicine from around the world, aiming to exchange knowledge and expertise on the latest innovations and techniques in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular and thoracic diseases. As part of the agreement signed between the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa/College of Law and the Police College, with the participation of several faculty members from the College of Law, the Police College held its "First Legal Conference," titled "Intellectual Immunisation from Social Deviations and Ways to Address Them," in collaboration with the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) and several other Iraqi universities.
The conference focused on addressing key social challenges in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG 4 (Quality Education). Professor Dr. Murtada Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of the Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), served as a member of the advisory committee for the first scientific conference to bring together the results of graduate studies and scientific research.
The conference, held at the University of Kufa College of Nursing, was notably attended by the Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Nursing Faculties in Iraq and a number of scientific and academic figures, in addition to researchers and postgraduate students in science.

2024/01/29Under the auspices of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain, and in line with the recommendations of the conference on "The Strategic Understanding of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani - Scientific Approach and Ethical Behavior," the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, in collaboration with the Warith Academy for Human Development and Strategic Studies, organized a scientific forum titled "Vision 2050 for Sustainable Management of Water Resources in Iraq."
The forum discussed the significant challenges posing an existential threat to Iraqi society and the Iraqi state, particularly the imminent danger of water scarcity in the coming years due to drought, exploitation of water resources by neighboring countries, and their failure to comply with international laws and agreements regarding water distribution.
The forum emphasized the necessity of creating a popular, institutional, and governmental direction towards formulating a clear and objective vision for sustainable management of water resources in Iraq.

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa continues to actively present numerous scientific and academic activities within the "Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference." The Warith Elevate team provided an explanation of the center's services for university graduates and students, detailing how they contribute to their qualification and training to prepare them for the job market. The presentation also covered the university's support for the "Government Entrepreneurship Initiative" by organizing training courses within the university.

Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the university president, presented an explanation of the "Warith Scientific Award" during the scientific research axis. This award is organized annually by the university to support researchers from various Iraqi universities and is not limited to the university's researchers alone.
Al-Hayawi highlighted the university's focus on supporting researchers and applied scientific research. The number of scientific research papers at the university, despite its relatively young age, has exceeded 500, with the majority being indexed in international databases like Scopus and within journals of the first quartile (Q1).

Fourth-year students, Munir Mohammed Fathallah and Zainab Ahmed Riadh, contributed to a research team under the supervision of civil engineering professors Mr. Maher Khudair Abbas and Engineer Zainab Muayad Naji from the Al-Ain Social Care Foundation. They presented a research paper titled:
