The College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa, in collaboration with the Regional Centre for Emergency Medicine, has launched an intensive training programme to prepare student volunteers for service in medical units during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
The programme includes practical training delivered by specialists in Basic Life Support (BLS), primary patient assessment, vital signs monitoring, bleeding and burn management, the safe transport of casualties, and emergency response procedures. The training is designed to strengthen students' clinical skills and readiness for field-based medical care.
This initiative reflects the University's commitment to preparing highly qualified medical professionals equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to serve the community. It supports Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing volunteers' preparedness to deliver safe and effective emergency care during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
