Ali Hassan Shimran, a second-year student in the Department of Petroleum and Gas Engineering at the College of Engineering, University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa, has won the award for Best Qur’an Memorisation in Iraq.

The competition was held in Baghdad on 29 August 2026 under the patronage of the Imamain Foundation for the Holy Qur’an, with 26 participants from across Iraq.

This achievement reflects the excellence of the University’s students in academic, cultural, and Qur’anic fields. It also highlights the University’s commitment to developing well-rounded students who combine academic excellence with cultural and human values, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
