The President of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, received the Advisor to the President of the Republic, Dr. Saad Al-Saadi, who extended his congratulations on the university’s distinguished achievement of entering the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS) for 2026 for the first time in the field of Energy Science and Engineering, ranking in the (301-400) bracket.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the university’s academic and research development trajectory. Dr. Al-Saadi praised this qualitative national accomplishment, which reflects the competence of Iraqi educational institutions and their dedication to competing with reputable international universities, commending the efforts exerted by the university presidency, faculty members, and researchers to elevate the level of scientific research.

This accomplishment directly contributes to advancing sustainable development goals, particularly Quality Education (SDG 4) by consolidating the university’s presence within global rankings, Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9) through the advancement of scientific research, and Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7) as this ranking recognition specifically pertains to the field of energy science and engineering.
