The Department of Student Dormitories Affairs at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University, in coordination with the College of Nursing, organized an awareness seminar on the early detection of breast cancer in the Law College Hall. This event coincided with the activities held by Al-Sayyida Khadija (peace be upon her) Hospital on the occasion of the global awareness month, "Pink October".
The seminar addressed the paramount importance of periodic check-ups and the pivotal role of radiological examinations in the early detection of the disease to increase recovery rates, alongside encouraging female participants to visit specialized health institutions and undergo necessary medical check-ups regularly.
This event falls within the efforts of the Social Research Division to disseminate health awareness and foster a culture of prevention. This initiative contributes to achieving Goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Well-being) by promoting women's health and disease prevention. It also supports Goal 5 (Gender Equality) through health empowerment and providing preventive care for women, in addition to contributing to Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through academic and health cooperation between the university and specialized community institutions.
