The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (Peace Be Upon Him) concluded the activities of its first annual festival held in the Aula Hall, celebrating World Arabic Language Day. The agenda for the second and final day included presentations of four research papers by Dr. Adnan Al-Sharoufi, Dr. Latif Al-Qasab, Dr. Star Al-Ghazi, and Dr. Sami Al-Maamouri. Researchers and participants discussed the significance of language in legal formulation, and the feasibility of studying spoken Arabic dialects academically, and highlighted the Iraqi legislator's stance on language issues and other important linguistic matters. The festival, titled "Arabic: The Language of the Holy Quran and the Identity of Our Nation," produced several recommendations, including establishing an annual tradition and inviting specialists in Arabic and its professors from within Iraq and beyond.
This two-day festival witnessed a select group of educators, students, researchers, writers, intellectuals, and language, literature, and law enthusiasts, along with poetic and theatrical events involving university students.
