As part of Warith Al-Anbiya University's participation in the Al-Noor International University Quran Competition, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the participation of 53 Iraqi universities and 6 foreign universities from around the world, student Hafiz Muhammad Hassan Shamran from the College of Medicine won a distinguished award during the competition hosted by Al-Ameed University.
This participation, overseen by the university's Student Activities Department, underscores the university's commitment to nurturing talented students in Quranic and cultural fields and encouraging them to combine knowledge, faith, wisdom, and good character.

Electronic successes are achieved rapidly in TBL and its formatting

To follow up on the success of the TBL online exams, the Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, held a meeting with the Director of the Computer Center, department heads at the center, and the head of the college's Digital Department to discuss the progress and success of the online exams conducted using the Problem-Based Learning (TBL) system. The meeting addressed the evaluation of the technical performance in the exam halls, the efficiency of the electronic infrastructure, and the technical support mechanisms that contributed to the success of the experience.
The Dean emphasized the importance of building on this success to enhance the college's digital transformation within the university's overall direction towards comprehensive digital transformation.

Joint scientific and coordination meeting

A meeting was held, chaired by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), with Dr. Mustafa Al-Shafi’i, Director of Al-Hindiya General Hospital. Also present were the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Anwar Sadiq Al-Dahhan, and the joint coordination committee from both sides. The meeting focused on discussing mechanisms for developing cooperation in clinical training and summer training for medical students.
The meeting included discussions on organizing the teaching staff within the hospital and distributing students among specialized units to maximize their scientific and practical benefit.
Emphasis was also placed on the importance of strengthening communication between the college and the hospital to ensure the quality of clinical training, particularly in the following specialties:
(General Surgery, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Internal Medicine, and Neurology).
The coordination committee commended the significant support provided by both parties to ensure the success of the summer training programs and to create a comprehensive applied learning environment for medical students.

Warith Al-Anbiya University opens new horizons for cooperation with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development in the fields of training and qualification.

In its pursuit of strengthening institutional partnerships and supporting academic and professional development, Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development. The agreement aims to exchange expertise and implement joint training programs that contribute to developing skills and enhancing the efficiency of academic and administrative staff and students.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of representatives from both parties. Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine, signed on behalf of the university, while Engineer Mohammed Al-Moussawi, President of the Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development, signed on behalf of the syndicate.
The Iraqi Syndicate for Training and Development is a reputable national institution in the field of training and qualification, distinguished by its developmental vision and ongoing initiatives in capacity building and skills development according to approved scientific and professional standards.

The Dean of the College of Medicine chairs a discussion committee at the University of Basra.

Professor Ali Abdul-Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, participated in chairing the discussion committee for a master's thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basra, for researcher Zainab Abdul-Majid Awan. The thesis was titled: "Patient satisfaction with quality of health care services in public hospitals in Basrah city." The discussion took place in the Graduate Studies Hall of the College of Medicine, University of Basra, where the committee consisted of a select group of professors from Iraqi universities. This attendance comes within the framework of scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and to promote the mission of science, knowledge, and community service.

Dean of the Faculty of Medicine as Chairman of the Discussion Committee

Chaired by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun, Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University, the discussion of the postgraduate diploma thesis, equivalent to a master's degree, was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The thesis, titled "Evaluation of Emotional Difficulties among Women Having Had a Miscarriage in Karbala 2024," was held at the College of Medicine at the University of Karbala. The dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University announced that a specialized medical team specializing in open heart surgery has successfully performed advanced operations using the minimally invasive lateral thoracotomy technique.

The Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University announced the success of a specialized team of cardiac surgeons who performed advanced open heart surgeries using a minimally invasive lateral thoracotomy technique, without the need to open the sternum.  This procedure was performed by a medical team led by Dr. Jabbar Jassim Al-Tai, a faculty member of the college.  Dr. Al-Tai, a consultant in open heart surgery, explained that these surgeries are considered among the most advanced procedures worldwide, having been pioneered in Europe, and represent a significant advancement in cardiac surgery, offering high precision and excellent results for patients.

Ultrasound workshop

The activities of the Arbaeen Medical Detachments affiliated with the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) continue. They are committed to providing quality medical services to pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), in addition to organizing scientific training workshops for our dear students.
In this context, the International Imamate Organization (IMI) held a specialized ultrasound workshop, which addressed the basics of ultrasound imaging and its uses in medical diagnosis. The workshop was supervised by a group of distinguished medical personnel.
These activities aim to enhance students' field experience and hone their practical skills, making them better prepared to serve the community.

This would not have been possible without the desire, knowledge, and skill of this good group of our sons and daughters, which enabled them to perform this great task. The evaluations we received from the doctors supervising the work of our volunteer students were wonderful and a source of pride for us all. All supervisors noted the high discipline of our dear students, in addition to their academic potential and clinical skills, which qualify them to work at all times and under the most difficult conditions. This undoubtedly reflects the efforts of the college's professors in training and developing the theoretical, practical, and clinical skills of our dear students. As part of the medical detachments' activities to serve pilgrims commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and in cooperation with the International Imamiyya Organization (IMI), a scientific workshop was organized for medical students entitled: "Fluids Management and Electrolytes Disturbance." The workshop was presented by Dr. Ali Abbas Naqavi from the United States of America. He discussed the latest methods in fluid management and the treatment of electrolyte disturbances in the body, with realistic clinical cases presented to enhance students' practical understanding. This event aims to develop medical students' skills and enhance their academic proficiency by providing them with the opportunity to interact directly with international medical expertise, contributing to the preparation of a qualified medical generation to serve the community and honorable pilgrims during the blessed pilgrimage.

As part of the humanitarian and service role of Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him), during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, a number of students from the College of Medicine participated in providing medical and therapeutic services as part of the medical staff at the Imam Hussein Ambassador Hospital. This field participation was under the direct supervision and attendance of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi; the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Laith Muhammad Abbas Al-Husseini; and the Director of Legal Affairs, Dr. Sabah Muhammad Al-Jubouri. Development Workshop in Medical Education - College of Medicine, Warith Al-Anbiya University

The College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (PBUH) held a development workshop in cooperation with the Imam al-Sadiq International Digital University (SIVU) and the Imamia International Medics Foundation. The workshop witnessed broad scholarly interaction on its first and second days and a great deal of interest in modern educational techniques. It addressed various topics, focusing on modern assessment methods, formulating questions according to precise scientific curricula, and the role of artificial intelligence in developing and improving medical education.
