Vision

The College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (PBUH) seeks to achieve a comprehensive vision of graduating doctors with high professional skills and based on the noble Islamic values ​​embodied by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (AS). The college aims to integrate these values ​​with modern medical standards, so that its graduates have a positive impact in serving the community, and are role models in medical ethics, mercy, and providing dedicated health care. The college is also keen to provide an integrated and advanced educational environment that allows students to develop their academic and clinical skills and qualifies them to keep pace with the continuous developments in the field of medicine and serve various segments of society, especially the most needy groups.

The college aims to instill the values ​​of honesty, professionalism, and ethical responsibility in its students, so that they are able to provide quality and dedicated medical services. The college also prioritizes promoting medical scientific research, providing opportunities for students and faculty members to participate in advanced research that contributes to developing health solutions to contemporary medical problems. All this is within the framework of a comprehensive vision that seeks to build doctors who contribute effectively to the development of the health system and serve society with a spirit of responsibility and high human values.

Goals

  • Awarding a Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery Degree: The college aims to prepare fully qualified doctors who have the ability to diagnose and understand the nature and extent of health problems facing society, with a focus on difficult cases and common health problems. They are trained to provide appropriate solutions and effective care to reduce the spread of diseases and alleviate their burdens, so that they can be of assistance to society in facing health challenges.
  • Inculcating moral values ​​and good behavior: The college seeks to instill high moral values ​​and promote integrity and loyalty among its students, drawing on the biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) as a lofty moral model. The college is committed to developing the human side in students to become doctors who are characterized by compassion and loyalty in their dealings with patients, committed to the highest standards of medical and professional ethics.
  • Supporting and motivating graduate students: The college provides full support to its students even after their graduation, through training programs specifically designed to enhance their skills and abilities, and encourage them to continue their postgraduate studies. These programs are part of the college’s efforts to raise the scientific level of the doctor, and enhance his efficiency in self-development, which qualifies him to achieve excellence in his various fields of specialization.
  • Curriculum development and teaching methods: The college seeks to innovate in curricula and constantly update educational methods, with a focus on interactive methods in delivering lectures. Students are encouraged to actively participate in academic discussions, which contributes to consolidating deep understanding and enhancing their analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Establishing an integrated health system in cooperation with the relevant authorities: The college aims to build a comprehensive health and medical system in coordination with the Health and Medical Education Authority of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein and the cadres of the Iraqi Ministry of Health, and in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization. These efforts focus on establishing solid foundations for scientific research, which allows for the development of medical research that contributes to addressing existing health problems, and enhances the college’s position as a leading educational institution.
  • Preparing physicians who listen and understand patients’ needs: Students are trained from the early years of study on the skills of good listening and empathy with patients, identifying their health and psychological needs, and working to meet those needs in an effective manner. These advanced and ongoing clinical trainings include enhancing the student’s understanding of his role as a holistic physician who cares for the patient as a whole, not just the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.
