The College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) held the 40th International Conference on Medical Education and Research Writing, under the theme:
“Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education, Research Writing, and Clinical Practice.”
The conference featured the participation of a select group of professors and experts from various countries, and included scientific lectures and practical workshops addressing artificial intelligence and scientific research, as well as specialized workshops in laparoscopic surgery and disaster management.

The College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University (PBUH) welcomed a high-level academic delegation from the Arab Board of Health Specialties, headed by Professor Dr. Hatiwish Faraj Hatiwish, President of the Arab Board of General Surgery and former Libyan Minister of Health, and including Professor Dr. Saad Abdullah Sarsam, President of the Arab Board of Health Specialties in Iraq. This visit coincided with the ongoing ministerial clinical examinations for sixth-year medical students.
The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Medicine. The President of Warith Al-Anbiya University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, along with the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ali Al-Ghazi, received a high-level academic delegation from the Arab Board of Medical Specialties. The delegation was headed by the President of the Arab Board of General Surgery and former Libyan Minister of Health, Professor Dr. Hatiwish Faraj Hatiwish, and included the President of the Board in Iraq, Professor Dr. Saad Abdullah Sarsam, and the Board's Rapporteur, Professor Dr. Habib, in addition to a select group of professors from the Colleges of Medicine at the Universities of Karbala, Qadisiyah, and Hammurabi.

The esteemed professors participated as external evaluators and assessors for the comprehensive clinical examinations for sixth-year medical students, which covered all basic medical specialties (general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology). The Dean of the College of Medicine honors Dr. Mu'ayyad Al-Naqeeb in recognition of his national achievement in liver transplantation.
On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, the Dean of the College honored Professor Dr. Mu'ayyad Al-Naqeeb at the university campus in recognition of his significant medical achievement: performing the first successful liver transplant in Iraq.
This honor comes in celebration of Dr. Al-Naqeeb's scientific and humanitarian efforts, which constituted an important step in the development of organ transplantation surgery in our beloved country and enhanced the standing of national expertise in this vital field.
