The Department of Family and Community Medicine at the College of Medicine, Warith Al-Anbiya University, conducted the fourth-year medical exam as part of its educational plans aimed at assessing students' academic level and enhancing their understanding of the physician's role in primary healthcare and community service.
This step reflects the college's commitment to implementing academic standards and developing the educational environment to ensure the preparation of competent medical professionals who meet the needs of the community.
Under the generous patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun, and stemming from the college's ongoing commitment to enhancing the educational environment, students were engaged in delivering educational lectures to their peers. These lectures, held over two days, covered both cohorts of students in their respective academic year.
This important initiative was undertaken under the direct academic supervision of Dr. Maher Jawad and witnessed the outstanding participation of a select group of fourth-year students. These students demonstrated exceptional proficiency in presenting the scientific material, including: Omar Mohammed, a distinguished fourth-year student who also serves on the national team of the Iraqi Medical Students Association (IFMSA-Iraq), reflecting a synergy between academic excellence and active student engagement; and Maryam Ayad, a fourth-year student and one of the ambassadors of Warith Al-Anbiya University, who contributed a scientific presentation that showcased the advanced level of the college's students. This initiative aims to refine the medical student's character, enhance their presentation and leadership skills, and solidify medical knowledge through teaching it to others.
A field visit by second-year students to the Children's Hospital in the Holy City of Karbala
Under the patronage of the esteemed University President and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University, second-year students organized a field visit to the Children's Hospital in the Holy City of Karbala. During the visit, a number of students visited the hospitalized children, presenting them with gifts and offering them moral support, bringing joy and happiness to their hearts. This visit is part of the humanitarian activities organized by the college to enhance the spirit of cooperation and responsibility among students and to develop their social and humanitarian awareness.
A number of medical students from the University of Warith al-Anbiya (peace be upon him) participated as part of the medical cadres in the specialized detachments of the Ambassador of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Hospital, to provide health services and first aid to the visitors of Imam Hussein and Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon them), during the flag-changing ceremony on the first of Muharram.

Based on the principle of social responsibility and promoting practical aspects of the medical profession, students from the College of Medicine at Warith al-Anbiya University (PBUH) participated in providing medical and emergency services and health education to pilgrims of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and his brother, Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas (PBUH), during the blessed Day of Arafah. This participation was coordinated and cooperated with the Health and Medical Education Authority and the Imam Hussein Ambassador Hospital affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH). This participation embodies the spirit of humanitarian giving among the students and highlights the importance of integrating academic knowledge with field experience in the service of the community and the honorable pilgrims.
