Students of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa achieved a distinguished milestone by securing fourth place at the Arab Scout Youth Award – Second Edition, hosted by the United Arab Emirates, for their innovative project “Iraq Scouts Application”. This accomplishment was achieved under the supervision of the Department of Student Activities. The university was represented at the award ceremony by Abbas Alaa Dheyaa Al-Deen, a student from the College of Science, Department of Information Technology, and was completed in coordination with the University Scouting Committee at the Ministry of Higher Education and with the support of the Iraqi Scout Association. The project reflects the students’ ability to apply their technical skills in serving youth communities. The College of Nursing at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa has signed a new scientific cooperation agreement with the provincial Nursing Syndicate, marking a pioneering step aimed at empowering nursing professionals and opening broad academic pathways for them to obtain advanced university qualifications that contribute to the development of their professional performance. This agreement aligns with the university’s vision of supporting the health sector by supplying highly competent personnel, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being) through the enhancement of healthcare staff capabilities and the improvement of services provided to patients. The agreement also supports (SDG 4: Quality Education) by providing equitable and accessible educational opportunities for healthcare professionals, enabling them to continue their studies without obstacles. Moreover, the collaboration between the university and the syndicate reflects a clear commitment to (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals) through the establishment of institutional relationships that support the advancement of health education. The agreement includes a range of financial and academic benefits for nursing staff, most notably a 50% reduction in tuition fees and an installment plan extending over ten months, designed to eliminate any financial burden for those wishing to complete their studies. Today, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Al-Karbalaei, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, visited the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa, where he was welcomed by the University President, Professor Dr Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayyawi. On Friday, 14 November 2025, the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa hosted a scientific conference on the World's Diabetes Day. The event was organised by the Iraqi Society of Clinical Chemistry in collaboration with the University’s College of Medicine and Al-Hassan Centre for Endocrinology and Diabetes, and sponsored by Al-Riyada Al-Arabiya Company, under the theme:"Together for a Community Aware of Diabetes Health." The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces the availability of seventy (70) Hungarian scholarships offered to Iraq for the academic year 2026/2027. Several university buildings, including-Al-Ola Building, Al-Isma Building, and Al-Naeem- incorporate sustainable architectural and environmental-design features aimed at improving energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and long-term resource sustainability. The university’s green-building initiatives include: optimisation of natural lighting and ventilation to reduce dependence on artificial lighting and mechanical cooling; central courtyards and open-space designs that support passive cooling and natural airflow; motion-sensor lighting systems to reduce unnecessary electricity consumption; energy-efficient HVAC systems with centralised controls; double-glazed windows and reflective roofing materials that minimise heat gain and improve thermal efficiency; use of thermally efficient flooring and wall materials to support indoor temperature stability; integration of low-flow water fixtures, greywater recycling systems, and sustainable landscape irrigation practices; and the use of native drought-resistant plants to support microclimate regulation and reduce environmental stress within campus green areas. Approximately 82.4% of the university’s total building area incorporates smart-building and green-infrastructure features that support sustainable campus operations and improved environmental performance. In addition, newly constructed and developing university buildings are being designed and implemented in accordance with the university’s green-building and sustainable infrastructure approach. Current and future construction projects incorporate energy-efficient systems, smart technologies, thermal-efficiency measures, sustainable landscape integration, and environmentally responsible architectural planning to support long-term sustainability goals across the campus. These initiatives contribute to reducing energy consumption, improving operational efficiency, supporting occupant comfort and well-being, and strengthening the university’s climate-action and environmental sustainability strategies. The visit aimed to strengthen the practical aspect of learning and provide students with direct insight into the stages of construction project implementation. The visit included a field tour introducing students to the initial phases of project execution, foundation works, and reinforcement procedures. Students also observed soil investigations, essential testing methods, and foundation implementation processes in accordance with approved engineering standards. The College of Media at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa organised an educational visit for first-year students from the Departments of Advertising and Digital Marketing Communication and Digital Media to the Iraqi Media Network. The visit aimed to strengthen students’ practical skills and connect academic study with the realities of professional media work. The visit included an overview of the operations of radio stations, satellite channels, production departments, and technical units. Students also explored digital marketing methods, content creation, media promotion techniques, and modern specialisations related to digital media. The visit provided students with valuable academic and professional insights through direct exposure to a modern media working environment. It also contributed to developing their practical and professional skills. As part of its continuous efforts to enhance the quality of educational outcomes, students of the College of Nursing commenced the comprehensive practical assessment examination (OSCE) at the OSCE laboratories of the National Centre for the Assessment of Medical Competencies. The OSCE examination is regarded as one of the most important modern methods for assessing clinical skills. Students are evaluated through multiple stations that simulate real medical scenarios. This approach ensures accurate assessment of their ability to manage different cases according to scientific standards and enhances their readiness to work in healthcare institutions.
