As part of promoting the concept of self-learning and developing students' personalities, research, and academic skills, the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiya University, in cooperation with the Educational and Psychological Counseling Unit, has adopted an initiative allowing second-year students to choose academic topics that align with their interests and passions. This initiative is part of the Elective Study Program.
This program includes research on selected topics, studying relevant medical cases, and then presenting them in an academic presentation. The presentations are presented to their peers and a group of supervising professors, including:
• Professor Dr. Ali Tariq
• Asst. Dr. Alaa Qasim Al-Awadi
• Prof. Dr. Talib Jawad
This is conducted under the supervision of the esteemed Dean, Professor Dr. Ali Abd Saadoun.
These presentations are held weekly during self-learning hours. Students have demonstrated outstanding performance in this educational experience, which contributes to developing their cognitive and intellectual abilities and enhancing their research and presentation skills. It also plays a vital role in building their self-confidence, which aligns with the college's vision of achieving outstanding educational outcomes that support its journey towards comprehensive quality and academic accreditation.
