Elections for the Faculty Representative of the College of Islamic Sciences
In a democratic atmosphere and a spirit of cooperation, a meeting was held on Sunday 10/20/2024 at the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, attended by the Dean of the College, Dr. Talal Al-Kamali, heads of departments, and faculty members. The meeting was held to elect the faculty representative in the college.
During the meeting, Dr. Abbas Adnan and Dr. Muntadhar Shukr were nominated to take on this task. After the voting process was conducted by those present, Dr. Muntadhar Shukr was chosen to be the faculty representative in the college.
The Dean praised the team spirit and democracy that prevailed in the meeting, stressing the importance of these elections in enhancing communication between faculty and the college administration, which contributes to developing academic performance and enhancing cooperation among all to achieve common goals.
Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences Delivers an Intellectual Lecture to the Students of the College of Medicine
On Monday 10/21/2024, the Dean of the College of Islamic Sciences, Dr. Talal Al-Kamali, delivered an intellectual lecture to the students of the College of Medicine in the "Al-Naeem Building". The lecture addressed the importance of the intellectual and cultural aspect in shaping human awareness and its impact on various aspects of life, including the medical field.
During the lecture, Dr. Al-Kamali focused on how to enhance critical and conscious thinking among students, and the importance of understanding the ethical and human dimensions in practicing medicine. He also addressed the relationship between Islamic sciences and the medical field, emphasizing the ethical values that distinguish the doctor in his dealings with patients and society.

In a unique and distinguished step, a delegation from the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya, headed by the Head of the Department of Islamic Finance and Banking, Dr. Ali Karim Abdul Rahim, and Dr. Nour Mahdi Kazim, and attended by Dr. Jaafar Abdul Amir with a group of students from the department, visited the Iraqi Islamic Bank for Development and Investment on Monday 10/21/2024.
This visit, which is the first of its kind, aims to inform students in the field about the banking departments and their working mechanisms, in a way that enhances their practical knowledge of the banking field. It also comes within the framework of supporting the "Virtual Bank" project, which aims to achieve cognitive integration for students in its theoretical and applied aspects.
This unique visit provides a valuable opportunity for students to develop their technical and administrative skills by learning about the job tasks that will be assigned to them in their practical life, and motivating them to practice and master them in the early stages of their studies.

The visit was aimed at inviting faculty members and students to participate in the "Words of Light" Quran writing project, which is a unique initiative to write the Holy Quran in the handwriting of students and professors.
During the visit, the delegation met with the deans of the faculties, where they provided a detailed explanation of the project, its objectives and its positive impact in instilling spiritual and intellectual values in students and future generations.

The College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) announces the opening of registration for the "Words of Light" project to write the Holy Qur’an, starting from 10/15/2024 until 10/25/2024.
The project aims to involve professors, students, and employees at the University of Warith al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) in writing the Holy Qur’an in their own handwriting, as training workshops for this project will be held between 11/5/2024 and 11/25/2024. The Qur’an is scheduled to be written on the day of the Prophet’s mission, corresponding to 1/29/2025.
The college invites all interested professors, students, and employees to participate in this blessed project, stressing that this initiative reflects the spirit of religious and scientific commitment and consolidates the values of giving and cooperation in serving the Holy Book of Allah.

Medad Forum for Culture and Development, in cooperation with the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon him), held a scientific symposium entitled "Psychological Warfare: Concept, Foundations and Goals" on Saturday 10/12/2024 at Panorama Mall.
The lecture was presented by Dr. Mudhar Faris Abdul-Ilah Al-Nasrawi, a researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Karbala, where he discussed the most important concepts related to psychological warfare, its foundations and goals, with a focus on the effects it leaves on individuals and societies.

The lecture discussed the concept of soft war and its tools and how they affect the cultural identity of societies, highlighting the strategies used by influential forces to dismantle cultural and social values. Assistant Lecturer Ali Karim Abdul Rahim, a lecturer at the College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiya University, received the Distinguished Lecturer Certificate from the University Presidency, during a ceremony held by the university to honor distinguished lecturers on Tuesday 10/1/2024 in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, the University President's Assistants, the Deans of the Colleges, and a number of lecturers.
During the ceremony, the University President stressed in his opening speech the importance of the role played by distinguished lecturers in raising the level of education at the university, noting that this honor is the culmination of their continuous efforts to achieve academic and research excellence.

Visit to enhance cooperation between the Department of Islamic Finance and Banking and the Iraqi Islamic Bank for Development and Investment
Within the framework of the excellence strategy, and within a series of field visits to a number of Islamic banks, Dr. Jaafar Abdul Amir Al-Hussaini, Head of the Department of Islamic Finance and Banking at the College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiya University, visited the Iraqi Islamic Bank for Development and Investment. During the visit, he met with the bank’s director, Mr. Ahmed Qais Radeef, where they discussed prospects for joint cooperation to raise the skill level of the department’s students, and ways to enhance their practical capabilities.
Mr. Ahmed Qais Radeef expressed his readiness to support this cooperation by holding workshops and training courses for students, with the aim of developing their professional banking skills. A proposal was also put forward to establish a “virtual bank” laboratory in the department, under the supervision of specialized banking cadres, to enable students to simulate the job tasks that they may face in the banking labor market after graduation.
The bank manager stressed that Islamic banks are witnessing continuous expansion and have a promising future in the financial market, which increases their need for graduates of Islamic financial and banking departments, provided that they possess the professional skills necessary to keep pace with the challenges in this field.
Participation of faculty members and administrative staff of the College of Islamic Sciences in the solidarity stand
In implementation of the directives of the Supreme Religious Authority and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, faculty members and administrative staff of the College of Islamic Sciences at Warith Al-Anbiya University (peace be upon him) participated in the solidarity stand that was organized on Wednesday morning, 9/25/2024.
This initiative came at the invitation of the President of Warith Al-Anbiya University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, where professors, administrators and students gathered to express their full solidarity with the Lebanese people against the barbaric attacks to which they are being subjected.
The participants in the stand denounced the violations committed against innocent people in Lebanon, and called on the international community to take firm positions to stop these attacks. The university also stressed that this stand comes as an affirmation of the role of academic institutions in promoting the values of justice, peace and human solidarity.
