The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the guidelines for the application process to private universities and colleges for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The guideline includes the general principles for the central online application and admission system, as well as the conditions and regulations for applying to both morning and evening study programmes, as well as regulations for other channels and scholarships specific to the medical group. It also outlines the minimum application thresholds by specialisation, the admission requirements for each department, and the application process through the dedicated application for the Private Higher Education Directorate.

The universities and organisations that put the Bologna Process into practice received a letter of praise and acknowledgment from Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of online applications for the two channels for amending nominations and accepting graduate students for the academic year 2022-2023. The submission comprises both the public channel and the channel for the martyrs' families, which can be done through the Studies, Planning, and Follow-up window.

The Ministry clarified that students with the families of martyrs must activate their exam numbers through the Martyrs Foundation, while deferred or failed students must attend the university where they were accepted to change their candidature.
The Ministry also urged all students who were interested in applying to come to the university closest to their residence in order to pick up their pin codes in case they were lost and to bring along their official credentials and exam card.

A letter of gratitude and appreciation was ordered to be sent to ministry personnel who had noteworthy worldwide patents by Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. These patents have formal government approval from the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, Canada, and the European Union, according to the Ministry's Research and Development Department.
The department also stated that the ministry's formations will be in charge of using a platform specifically designed for this purpose to file patents on behalf of its members.

A Ph.D. dissertation at the College of Education for Girls at the University of Kufa discussed the use of integral transform for solving partial differential equations and its applications.
The dissertation presented by student Rehab Ali Khudair aims to find new double transforms named Double ZZ transforms and Complex ZZ transforms as useful tools distinguished by speed and accuracy to obtain solutions for hydrodynamic pressure, load-bearing, and heat equation describing particle movement in a viscoelastic fluid.
The dissertation concluded that using Double ZZ transform as a powerful tool for solving motion and continuity equations in hydrodynamic lubrication and compressive lubrication and for solving the heat equation describing particle movement in a viscoelastic fluid, and using Complex Double ZZ transform to estimate stress peaks in the knee joint for daily activities.
The dissertation recommended that the Double ZZ transform and Compound Double ZZ transform can be developed to solve a system of ordinary differential equations and solve partial differential equations with variable coefficients.

His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi reviewed that the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) granted the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq (NCAMC) full international accreditation at the level of program evaluation and approved standards in fields within the quality of medical education.
Dr. Al-Aboudi said that the text of the letter sent by World Federation for Medical Education stated that the recognition committee of (WFME) concluded its vote and agreed to recognize the NCAMC for a period extending until 2034, as well as the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq is considered accredited in its policies and procedures to ensure the quality of medical education.

The first phase involves creating an account, filling in the data, and verifying it through the electronic portal of the Private Higher Education Department (https://www.pe-gate.org).
The Ministry calls on students to review the Student Guide to learn about private universities, their colleges, departments, and specializations. It emphasizes that students will be able to fill in their data and confirm it after the results of the second round of preparatory study are announced.
The Ministry advises interested individuals to avoid any paper application, seat reservation, or purchasing of tickets outside the centralized electronic admission system managed by the Private Higher Education Department.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboodi, inaugurates Iraq Education Exhibition and Conference 2023 with regional and international participation. During the opening ceremony, the minister emphasized the ministry's commitment to global academic engagement, quality, and innovation. He highlighted the success of establishing an open environment for Iraqi universities to embrace non-conventional identities, foster academic interaction, and compete internationally.
Dr. Al-Aboodi also pointed out significant projects in the Iraqi higher education sector, including the unprecedented transformation towards a Bologna Process, which involves over 600 specialized departments in government and private universities, as well as the pioneering project "Study in Iraq," which has attracted more than three thousand international students.
The minister stressed the ministry's focus on the quality of university outputs and the advancement of scholarly contributions on the global stage, praising Iraqi researchers for achieving notable recognition. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to embracing quality standards and the adoption of e-governance principles as essential pillars in achieving excellence in the academic institutions and meeting the labor market's requirements and societal service dimensions.

In his opening remarks at the scientific workshop, the Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education is actively working on improving the medical education environment by establishing scientific partnerships with international universities and colleges. This includes providing the necessary resources for scientific research, enabling universities to achieve their goals, and offering training programs for students and faculty members in the medical and research fields.
Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, the head of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Department, highlighted the importance of ensuring quality and accreditation. He mentioned that the ministry has formed twenty accreditation councils in various specialties, including the Medical Accreditation Council, established in 2008. This council has been working on program accreditations and collaborating with the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) to obtain international accreditation.
Dr. Munir Al-Saadi, the President of the University of Baghdad, stated that the university is actively working on enhancing research pathways that directly contribute to scientific and educational progress. This helps strengthen cooperation and competitiveness among students and serves the community.
In this context, the Dean of the College of Medicine, along with experts, researchers, and experts, presented their insights and proposals aimed at updating medical education in accordance with the requirements and needs of the Iraqi society.
