Civil Engineering Students at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa Participate in a Field Visit to a Residential Project

The Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbyiaa organised a scientific field visit for second-year students to a residential project in Baghdad. The visit aimed to strengthen the practical aspect of learning and provide students with direct insight into the stages of construction project implementation.

The visit included a field tour introducing students to the initial phases of project execution, foundation works, and reinforcement procedures. Students also observed soil investigations, essential testing methods, and foundation implementation processes in accordance with approved engineering standards.

The visit contributed to linking theoretical knowledge with practical application and enhancing students’ field experience in line with labour market requirements. It also supported the development of their engineering skills within real working environments.

This initiative forms part of the University’s efforts to support applied engineering education, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) through developing students’ practical skills, and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by supporting infrastructure and engineering innovation.

The College reaffirmed its commitment to organising field visits and practical activities that contribute to preparing engineers with the necessary scientific knowledge and practical expertise.
