Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabil Abdul Sahib, the Department of Student Activities in the Ministry hosted several universities, including the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (Peace Be Upon Him), for the opening of the University Short Film Festival. The festival is held under the slogan "With University Students, Nations Rise," and includes the participation of thirty government and private universities and colleges.
Dr. Hameem Al-Khafaji, Head of the Student Activities Department at the University, stated, "The festival includes important themes such as respecting others, the importance of cooperation and volunteer work, and rejecting bullying. Films have been prepared by students based on these themes, including dialogue, acting, and direction."
Al-Khafaji added, "Outstanding films will be selected and screened at the end of the festival, with several awards for the best work, best actor, and best screenplay, in addition to awards for outstanding students."
