The Joint Examination

A joint examination was carried out in accordance with guidelines and regulations from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In the presence of representatives from the University of Karbala, College of Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Department, the joint exam for the third and fifth stages of the department was held at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) College of Engineering, under the supervision and guidance of the College Deanship.

Conclusion of the Second National Warith Al-Anbiyaa Award for Research Excellence

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) concluded its second national research competition by awarding prizes to the top researchers. The competition was sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and was overseen by the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH). In attendance were the Secretary General of the PBUH, Mr. Hassan Rashid Al-Abaiji, the Undersecretary of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abd Dahd, the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, and several other scientific, academic, social, and religious figures.
In his speech to the audience Mr. Hassan Rashid Al-Abaiji, the Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH), emphasised the Holy Shrine's support for this award as well as the need to pay attention to the scientific aspect by writing sound scientific research, which advances the nation and helps it overcome its problems, in accordance with the directives of His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the legal guardian of the Holy Shrine (may he ever be honoured).
Al-Abaiji continued, "Today, Karbala is distinguished not only by the scientific aspect but also by the health aspect, as evidenced by the construction of hospitals and health centres and the influx of foreign physicians who come to contribute their expertise in both science and practice."
The University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, emphasised to the audience during his speech that this award, the first of its kind in Iraq, was created to support researchers, "particularly young researchers, as they had a special focus on the award, which is the youth focus," and to motivate them to make an effort and contribute to solving societal problems. The advancement of the scientific and academic movements in our beloved nation is facilitated by scientific research, and we aim to maintain this competitiveness by providing the Holy Imam Hussein Shrine (PBUH) with funding that advances the mission of reliable educational institutions.

The Scientific Day of the College of Medicine

The Deanship of the College of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) held a special celebration titled "Scientific Day of the College of Medicine," where students presented scientific activities represented by scientific medical research under the supervision of college professors. The celebration was held in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi.
The study's findings were represented as posters in a range of medical disciplines. This is regarded as a scientific activity that elevates students' educational levels and their level of medical knowledge while also encouraging a desire for learning and self-reliance in information acquisition. It also embodies personal capabilities and skills.

This event served as a monument to their tireless pursuit of knowledge in the interest of our cherished university and our dear country.

Charitable Bazaar

A charitable bazaar was conducted in the university gardens, with the participation of the Iraqi Association of Medical Students, the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), and the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi.
 
The bazaar featured a showcase of individual talents, such as handicrafts, artwork, and Arabic calligraphy, to assist and motivate young people to pursue their passions.
 
Blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, and blood group testing were among the medical topics covered at the bazaar. These topics were a significant component of the medical examination that was provided to the general public who attended the event.

Cross-universities Administration and Economics Scientific Cooperation

Professor Dr. Zainab Al-Hindawi, the dean of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Babylon, welcomed a delegation from the Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), which was led by Professor Dr. Awad Al-Khalidi, the dean of the College.
 
The purpose of this visit was to strengthen the scientific collaboration between the faculties of Administration and Economics at the Universities of Babylon and Warith al-Anbiyaa (PBUH).
 
A range of subjects and academic scientific programmes were covered by the collaboration, including the advancement of postgraduate studies and scientific research, the organisation of forums and conferences for science and culture, the exchange of scientific visits for the benefit of students, the writing of collaborative research, performance evaluation, and scientific supervision.

Sheikh Al-Karbalai Pays Warith Al-Anbiyaa an Inspection Visit

Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (PBUH) was honoured to host the Supreme Religious Authority's representative, His Eminence, the legal guardian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH), Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai (may he always be honoured). The university's president, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the administrative assistant, Professor Dr. Nofal Al-Araji, the scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Waqid Al-Mousawi, as well as college deans, received the dignitaries.
 
His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai stressed the importance of paying attention to the scientific aspect and using all available capabilities for that, as well as attracting both Iraqi and international competencies and expertise to teach at the university, support scientific research, and encourage researchers in this area with the aim of reflecting a positive image on the quality of scientific outputs. The visit was intended to discuss ways to develop the educational process, from the scientific, academic, and administrative aspects, in an effort to achieve the desired goals of advancing and distinguishing the educational mission. His Eminence emphasised the significance of considering psychological and educational counsel, pointing out that it is just as vital as the scientific part.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa Launches the “University Ambassadors” Project at the College of Medicine

Under the patronage of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, and in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Dr. Ali Abd Saadoun Al-Ghazi, the Deanship of the Faculty of Medicine, in cooperation with the “Warith Elevate” team and the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, launched the project (Preparation and Selection of University Medical Ambassadors), which aims to represent the university and the country, whether locally or internationally.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Musallam, Medical Education Officer at the College of Medicine, announced that after conducting interviews with a number of college students according to pre-defined criteria, which include leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, in addition to the professional and academic aspects, a number of students were chosen to be university ambassadors.
The Medical Education Officer clarified that this project, which the university adopted to improve students' academic performance as well as their leadership, mission, and professional skills, is the first of its kind at the national and university levels.
During the coronation ceremony, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi stressed the importance of the students’ interest in obtaining education, as they are future doctors who bear a great responsibility before society, in addition to the importance of the leadership and professional aspects of the doctor.

Executive Procedures for Students of College of Law

The College of Law at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) held a scientific seminar for its students titled "How a Lawyer Deals with the Execution Department," presented by Professor Osama Hudo.
 
The seminar included an explanation of provisions in the Execution Law No. (45) of 1980 as amended, including the procedures of the Execution Officer in seizing and selling the debtor's movable and immovable property, mechanisms for obtaining continuous alimony, and the rights of the wife and children. It also covered how to balance decision-making by the Execution Officer to ensure justice for both parties in the execution file, which is fundamental to the Execution Law.

A Meeting between the Departments of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Warith al-Anbiyaa and the University of Karbala

The Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) and the Biomedical Engineering Department of the University of Karbala had an expanded conference, overseen by Dr. Hussein Hadi Al-Awadi, the College Dean.
 
The purpose of this conference was to carry out the conditions of the earlier agreed-upon scientific agreement with the University of Karbala.
 
The joint evaluation exam between the biomedical engineering departments at both universities was the topic of discussion during the meeting. Teaching staff members and heads of departments from the two universities attended this meeting.
 
The committees in charge of formulating test questions and grading notebooks, as well as the committees overseeing exam administration, were all discussed in the meeting, along with the joint lessons that were part of the joint exam.

Students of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Department Explore Engineering Workshops at the University of Technology

The Department of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) organised an inspiring scientific tour of the engineering workshops at the University of Technology. The tour aimed to promote creative thinking and gain knowledge regarding new engineering fields.
The tour was organised to introduce students to scientific laboratories and encourage them to innovate and explore. It provided the opportunity for students to interact and ask questions of professors at the University of Technology, which contributed to enriching their scientific experience.

The University of Karbala Organises Assessment Exams for Civil Engineering Students

The University of Karbala, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supervision and Evaluation Agency, implements a series of assessment examinations for students of the Civil Engineering Department. These administrative and organisational efforts are designed to include public and private colleges, highlighting the university’s commitment to ensuring the quality of education. Ultimately, achieving the highest standards of academic performance.
For its part, the administration of the College of Engineering at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (PBUH), directed by Dr. Hussein Hadi Al-Awadi, supervised the implementation of ministerial assessment exams for civil engineering students in the third and fourth academic levels. The Chinese Delegation of Nanjing Visits Warith Al-Anbiyaa: Scientific Cultural Research and Cooperation

Within the framework of scientific and cultural communication between universities, a delegation from the Chinese University of Nanjing visited the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH). They were received by His Excellency the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hayawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Waqed Al-Moussawi, in addition to a number of deans and heads of scientific and administrative departments. 
Ways of future cooperation and communication between the two universities were discussed during the visit, along with a number of potential scientific topics such as exchanging scientific expertise, organising scientific conferences and forums, scholarship programmes, and receiving teaching staff and students. 
During the visit, tours took place in the university's corridors, laboratories, and engineering workshops, in addition to field visits to some projects affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH). 
It should be noted that Nanjing University of China is one of the most prestigious universities that ranks highly internationally. Being one of the top institutions in the world, it stands out for its superiority in the field of scientific research.

Discussion on Enhancing the Standard of Academic Performance between the Presidency and College of Medicine

The presidency’s initiatives to develop stronger connections with prominent college faculties demonstrate the value of ongoing communication in creating an environment that is both productive and stimulating. Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the university president, met with the deanship of the College of Medicine to debate strategies of boosting the caliber of academic performance.
Discussions focused on how implementing cutting-edge teaching strategies might improve instructors' work and encourage their interactions with students by fusing real-world applications with the theories that are taught. Along with listening to recommendations and offering assistance in overcoming hurdles, an analysis of the difficulties associated with academic work and strategies for overcoming them was also covered. The discussion's objective was to raise the standard of teaching and learning at the university by improving the educational process and the quality of university work.

Sheikh Karbalai Visits Warith Al-Anbiyaa University and Praises its Educational Projects

His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Al-Karbalai, the representative of the supreme religious authority and the legal guardian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein (PBUH), visited the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH). He was received with pride and appreciation by the president of the university, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, the scientific assistant, Professor Dr. Waqed Al-Moussawi, in addition to the deans of colleges and heads of departments.
This visit came with the aim of reviewing the most important university projects, including the student pedestrian bridge, the dormitory buildings, and the new building of the university presidency (the Presidency Tower), in addition to the teaching hospital project for the Faculty of Medicine.
His Eminence emphasised the importance of solid academic construction for students, and the necessity of paying attention to the construction and its durability. Additionally, to build the correct national, professional, educational, and moral character of the students, given their important role as hope for the future and their contribution to improving the country.

The Geotechnical Association Honors the Presidency of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University

The Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Hadi Al-Awadi, on behalf of the Iraqi Geotechnical Association, honoured the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, and the Administrative Assistant and Chairman of the founding organisation, Professor Dr. Nofal Al-Araji.
The honouring came as a tribute to their prominent role in the advisory committee of the first Warith International Engineering Sciences Conference. As well as their effective contribution to the sponsorship, supervision, and success of the conference’s activities at all scientific, organisational, and administrative levels.

Developing a Stable Nanotechnology-based Gas Sensor

The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) announced the achievement of an innovative patent in the field of technology, by developing a stable gas sensor based on nanotechnology. The sensor accurately and effectively detects ammonia gas at room temperatures.
The new sensor is based on a network of multi-walled nanotubes activated with hydroxide (MWCNTs-OH), ensuring high stability and accuracy in detecting ammonia gas.
This patent is an important step towards developing smart and advanced gas detection technologies, and highlights the role of scientific research in achieving progress and innovation in the fields of science and technology.

Warith Al-Anbiyaa Receives the Golden Medal for a Patent

Dr. Hakim Samawi Al-Jubouri, an assistant professor and researcher at the College of Engineering, received recognition for his involvement in a new patent at the International Conference on Patents and Industrial Designs, as well as the Golden Medal and the Creativity Medal. The French International Centre for Scientists and Inventors at the Universities of Halabja and Sulaymaniyah was in charge of organising the conference.
Assistant Professor Dr. Hakim Samawi Al-Jubouri stated: "We presented a scientific poster bearing the name of the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), a brief overview of the patent, and an important introduction to the university's colleges and departments that seemed well-known among the important universities as part of our participation in the conference."
"These scientific activities—participating in scientific conferences and seminars in other universities—are considered very important to raise the university's classification and raise its name among the names of reputable universities," Al-Jubouri continued.

Students of Warith al-Anbiyaa University Participate in the Central Graduation Ceremony of Iraqi Universities

A number of students from the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) proudly participated with enthusiasm in the activities of the fourth central ceremony for the graduation of Iraqi university students.
 
The ceremony was held under the sponsorship of the Holy Shrine of Abbas (PBUH), supervised by the Student Activities Department, and in cooperation with the Media and Communications Department.
 
The participation of the students of Warith Al-Anbiyaa University in this important event reflects the extent of their spiritual affiliation to the People of the Prophet’s Household (PBUT), their commitment to academic excellence, and their active contribution to cultural and social activities. All of which will strengthen social ties between students and the university community.

Insightful Research Sessions at the International Conference on Engineering Sciences and Geotechnical Engineering

The research sessions held in the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) witnessed insightful discussions and meaningful dialogues on the second day of the First International Conference on Engineering Sciences and the Fourth International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering. These conferences were organised by the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) in cooperation with the Iraqi Geotechnical Association and the Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University in Russia.
 
The researchers, Iraqi as well as foreign, exchanged their ideas and experiences during these sessions, in the fields of engineering and geotechnical engineering. The aim was to enrich discussions and direct attention towards important and diverse issues that benefited both researchers and attendees alike.
 
These sessions reflected the commitment of the university and participating entities to enhance scientific research and technological development for the progress of society and the improvement of quality of life.

University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Holds its First International Conference on Engineering Sciences

The College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH), in cooperation with the Iraqi Geotechnical Association and the Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University in Russia, organised the First International Conference on Engineering Sciences and the Fourth International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering. It was held under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the supervision of the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH).
 
The conference witnessed the attendance of the representative of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Basim Al-Saadi, the President of the University of Karbala, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (PBUH), Dr. Alaa Diaa Al-Din, the President of the Karbala Governorate Council, Dr. Qasim Al-Yasiri, and the University President, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi.
 
The first morning session of the conference began in the presence of a number of scientific and academic figures and researchers from within Iraq and abroad. In his speech to the attendees, the university president, Professor Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, emphasized the importance of the role of academic institutions that work on solving societal problems through scientific research.
He praised the efforts of the conference organisers and the participating researchers, hoping that it would produce recommendations that address many issues of concern to society.

University of Karbala President Represents Minister of Higher Education at University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Conference

Professor Dr. Basim Nayil Khalil Al-Saadi, President of the University of Karbala, represented the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research at the First International Conference on Engineering Sciences organised by the College of Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH).
 
Al-Saadi stated that "the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has accomplished, through its digital platform for applied research, nearly 50,000 projects aimed at connecting all institutions with universities and their scientific research centres and linking developmental environments with applicable university studies in various service sectors."
 
He added that "the ministry has taken unprecedented decisions that were noted and appreciated by UNESCO. One of the most important decisions was to adopt the Bologna Process and prepare its requirements so that our universities can keep pace with the changes that require a deliberate transformation in terms of interaction, teaching, and learning methods."
 
The First International Conference on Engineering Sciences and the Fourth International Conference on Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa (PBUH) was sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in cooperation with the Iraqi Geotechnical Society and the Saint Petersburg State Polytechnic University.
 
The conference aims to exchange ideas and reinforce scientific research efforts. It was attended by 166 Iraqi and foreign researchers who addressed various topics within the conference's themes. These topics range from civil and mechanical engineering to petroleum engineering, geotechnical engineering, road and bridge engineering, and water resources.
 
The organisers stated that the participating research will be published in a range of indexed journals within global databases.
 
The conference was attended by the President of the University of Karbala, Professor Dr. Basim Nayil Khalil Al-Saadi, representing the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, as well as official and academic Iraqi and foreign figures, in addition to researchers and students from the College of Engineering.
