Under the slogan (A Message of Hope and Knowledge) and within the framework of social responsibility, the College of Medicine, under the direction of the respected Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Abdul Saadoun, organized a team of students on an awareness visit to orphan schools (Sayyida Ruqayya Elementary and Secondary School for Girls and Ali Al-Asghar Elementary and Secondary School), with the aim of providing psychological and cognitive support to students, and enhancing their awareness in various life, educational and health fields. The visit was a wonderful opportunity to spread hope and positivity among primary and secondary school students, through educational lectures and interactive workshops, aimed at developing their skills, enhancing their self-confidence, increasing their health awareness and encouraging them to be up to their future responsibilities. The student team was accompanied by the respected assistant, Professor Dr. Laith Abbas, Professor Dr. Taleb Jawad, Lecturer Dr. Maher Abboud and Engineer Mr. Muhammad Baqer. The team was keen to provide sessions on the importance of education, caring for mental and physical health, developing personal skills, and supporting their academic career. During the visit, we saw the spirit of challenge and determination in the eyes of the students, which confirmed the importance of such initiatives in enhancing their self-confidence and making them feel that society cares about them.
The administration of the two schools and the educational staff expressed their appreciation and welcome to the delegation. In return, the delegation presented letters of thanks and appreciation to the two schools and their distinguished administration. The team conveyed the greetings and wishes of the President of the University of Warith Al-Anbiya (peace be upon them) and Mr. Eid, the honorable Dean of the College of Medicine.
In conclusion, the visit was an inspiring experience for all of us, as it confirmed to us that kind words, genuine interest, and moral support can make a big difference in the lives of these students, and give them motivation to continue achieving their dreams.
