The Iraqi Parliament Seeks Assistance from Engineering College Professors for their Scientific Expertise

To contribute to the successful implementation of renewable energy systems in investment and governmental projects, as well as solar energy systems for residential homes, the Parliamentary Energy Committee hosted Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Taleb, the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, and Dr. Hassan Ahmed Ibrahim from the College of Engineering.

They provided essential insights on the law being reviewed in Parliament and highlighted the need to amend certain loopholes in the law for the public good. The Parliamentary Energy Committee emphasized the necessity of using a feed-in tariff system instead of the proposed net metering system.
