Application Guidelines
  • He must have an Iraqi preparatory school certificate or an equivalent certificate supported by certification from the General Directorate of Education in the governorate and in accordance with the admission requirements for each specialty.
  • Must be born in 1991 or later.
  • Graduates of vocational centres whose study period is not less than three years and who have taken the ministerial examination exclusively have the right to apply to universities and private colleges, according to the requirements for each specialty.
  • The student must be devoted to study, and it is not permissible to combine work and study at universities and colleges in the morning. This includes employees of all government institutions, and their continued study is required to obtain study leave from their departments. Otherwise, the student’s admission will be cancelled.
  • To pass the medical examination.
  • A student who has been accepted into one of the private universities/colleges for previous years has the right to apply to another department in the same college. In the event of his acceptance, his university/college issues an administrative order to change his division, and he proceeds with the first stage.
  • The student’s registration will be upgraded if he is accepted into another university/college, studies outside Iraq, or obtains an appointment after submitting a written request to that effect by the student within a period of one week from the date of submission.
  • A student accepted into government universities, colleges, and institutes has the right to apply for admission to private universities and colleges according to the electronic form, the principle of differentiation, and the entries and application conditions.
  • A student whose enrollment in one of the private universities/colleges has been promoted has the right to apply again according to the digital form, the principle of differentiation, and the inputs and conditions of the application, provided that he does not apply for admission to the same department in which his enrollment was promoted.
  • Private universities and colleges are not allowed to collect any amount of tuition fees or so-called deposits from the student before his acceptance to the university/college appears. It is also not permissible to collect any other amounts during the period of acceptance and registration of the student on the electronic system.
  • Ministers, those of their rank, members of the House of Representatives, those with special ranks, and members of provincial councils are not entitled to apply for admission to the morning study.
  • Kurdistan Region students who graduate from preparatory school (recognised by the Ministry of Education) can apply for admission to private universities and colleges.
  • After students are accepted, a university order is issued to universities and administrative orders to colleges that include the names of students accepted for admission to private universities and colleges.
  • The data of students accepted into private universities and colleges for the academic year is audited with the Department of Private University Education and according to the contexts determined by the department later.

 

 

General conditions for admission to evening studies:

 

 

  • He must have an Iraqi preparatory school certificate or an equivalent certificate supported by certification from the General Directorate of Education in the governorate.
  • He must not be accepted into another study, as it is not permissible to combine the two studies. If this is proven, the student will bear the legal consequences, including cancellation of admission.
  • To pass the medical examination.
  • Authorising the councils of universities and private colleges to transfer the student’s study from morning study to evening study for all academic levels. Additionally, to eliminate the appointment condition and the necessity of adhering to the absorptive capacity when transferring the student’s study, provided that the student is not a graduate of previous years. Private universities and colleges bear responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided by the student. If the student is accepted for the purpose of transfer, inform the Department of Private University Education for the purpose of registering him in the student database.
