University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa Prioritizes Staff Mental Health Through HR-Led Workshops
The University of Warith Al-Anbiyaa places a strong emphasis on the mental health and well-being of its staff, as demonstrated by the recent workshops organized by the university. These workshops are part of the Human Resources Department's broader initiative to provide free mental health support and educational services to all university staff.
The College of Medicine organized a workshop titled "Misuse of Psychoactive Substances and Their Psychological and Physical Effects, and Treatment Methods," led by psychiatric consultant Dr. Jasim Mohammed Hashem Al-Mousawi. The workshop provided valuable information on substance misuse, its psychological impact, and treatment options, highlighting the university’s proactive approach to addressing mental health issues.
Additionally, the College of Islamic Sciences, under the auspices of University President Professor Ibrahim Al-Hayawi, hosted a workshop titled "The Impact of Drugs on Psychological and Social Security and Community Well-being." This event featured Major General Saad Maan, Director of Relations and Media at the Ministry of Interior, and Colonel Jabbar Fadhel Sukkar, Director of Drug Affairs in Karbala, and focused on the harmful effects of drug use on mental health and community security.
These workshops reflect the Human Resources Department's commitment to promoting mental health awareness and providing support to university staff.
