On Monday, December 2, 2024, the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Warith al-Anbiya (peace be upon him) organized the first workshop in a series of workshops for the “Writing the Holy Qur’an - Words of Light” project, in the hall of the Al-Naeem Building.

The workshop was attended by the creative calligrapher Mr. Razzaq Al-Tawil, who supervised the training of the participants and provided technical guidance related to the art of writing the Holy Qur’an. A number of students and interested parties participated in the workshop, where the focus was on the techniques of Arabic calligraphy and the principles of writing Qur’anic texts in an accurate and beautiful style.

The project is a unique step that aims to enhance the skills of the participants in writing the Holy Qur’an by hand and reviving this ancient Islamic art, in addition to achieving the spiritual and educational goals associated with this blessed work.

The participants praised the high level of organization and supervision in the workshop, stressing their aspiration to benefit from the upcoming workshops within this blessed project.
