The College of Islamic Sciences announces a scientific symposium on Imam Hussein's (PBUH) knowledge of his martyrdom in Karbala

The College of Islamic Sciences is preparing to organize a scientific symposium entitled "Sayyid al-Murtada's statement on Imam Hussein's (PBUH) knowledge of his martyrdom in Karbala - a critical study", to be delivered by Assistant Professor Jassim Shamkhi Hamad, on February 22, 2025 in the college hall, targeting the college's professors.

The symposium will include a critical analysis of Sayyid al-Murtada's opinion on Imam Hussein's (PBUH) knowledge of his fate in the Karbala incident, with a review of the jurisprudential and theological evidence related to the topic, and discussing it according to specialized scientific visions.

The college emphasizes the importance of this symposium in promoting scientific research and opening new horizons for understanding intellectual and historical issues related to Islamic studies.
